The Film (2.5/5)

Lina Romay plays a fictional version of herself in this sex filled story. She plays an actress and model with a never-ending desire for pleasure. After hitting it off with a strong kung-fu guy (Eric Falk), she comes up with a plan to meet her needs. He will drive her around the countryside in her Rolls-Royce until she finds attractive hitchhikers to have her way with.

ROLLS ROYCE BABY is one of the few Romay films not to be directed by Jess Franco. In the director's seat is Producer Erwin C. Dietrich of Eurocine studios. In a weird turn of fate, the movie turned into a softcore showcase for Romay, but lacked some of the more bizarre elements you come to expect from Jess Franco's career.

Being a softcore movie, it's strengths come its erotic tension and steamy sex scenes. Some are titillating and well shot. But others are just silly and hilarious. The movie begins with Miss Romay masturbating with shaving tools, such as a brush and a big glop of cream. All set to some wannabe poetic monologuing. What sparse dialog that is left goes into more detail about Romay's burning lust to be wanted.

For what it is, ROLLS ROYCE BABY is a breezy and fun little soft-core movie. Romay has never looked sexier. The camera loves her, even when some of the situations lose their erotic charm.

Audio/Video (3.5/5)

The movie comes with two audio options. First is the English 5.1 Surround sound mix. The track is spotless with no hiss or pops. The musical score by Daniel White sounds out of this world. The second track is a bit of a mess. It's the English 2.0 Stereo mix. All the audio sounds like it was recorded in a wind tunnel with sudden spikes of loud volume. I'm not sure if this is a defect of just this disc or the whole release. There are no subtitles included.

The video transfer is a real beauty. Aside from a few moments of film grain, the picture is sharp and looks fantastic. If you’re a fan of Romay's figure, you will find plenty to love with this crisp transfer. There is a few spots with the corner of the image is blurred.

Extras (1/5)

Trailer gallery featuring ROLLS ROYCE BABY, RAVENWOLF TOWERS, CAGED WOMEN, YOUNG SEDUCERS, TROPHY HEADS, BLOOD OF 1000 VIRGINS, and MAD FOXES.

Overall (3/5)

ROLLS ROYCE BABY is a fun sex movie for fans of Romay. It's a different side of her away from some of the more iconic Franco movies. It's light and fun. If this is your kind of film, you'll enjoy it.
