Tada Never Falls in Love is a slice of life/romance anime that got me interested with a 1-2 punch of great first episodes, and continued to exceed my expectations thereafter. The series follows Tada, a young orphan boy, now living with his sister and grandfather. Tada aspires to be a great photographer like his late Father, and does quite a bit of photography in his spare time. This seems to allow him to get close to people albeit at a distance. This changes when Tada meets Teresa Wagner an exchange student who quite quickly begins to fall for Tada.
The series is not intensely original, but it creates a group of easily likable characters and puts them in familiar situations. That being said this series is far from something one would watch for a quality narrative, and more for the emotions, atmosphere, and experience, and in that regard it pays off in droves. The art style is befitting to the material, and though the characters are school-age it plays far enough away from campus that it offers more diversity to the view.
Sentai Filmworks presents Tada Never Falls in Love with a solid 1:78:1 1080p Transfer that solidly reflects the look of the series. Audio is handled by DTS-HD MA 2.0 tracks in English and Japanese that sound clear and without issue. Extras include a clean opening and closing.
