    Time Life has done some interesting musical DVD releases over the past few months with their CMA compilation set, and now this 11 discs Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Concert DVD set.   Now they are unleashing a set that features 164 separate performances on 11 DVD's with inclusions featuring the 2010-2017 period of Rock Hall shows.   

    I will admit to being a huge fan of rock and metal, but never one smitten with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as they always seem to play it either safe, popular, or both.  While occasionally we will get a band like The Ramones inducted, many bands who have been influencers and important to the genre have been pushed aside for more mainstream-aware bands.

   with that being said the set is quite a collection of memorable performances from some great artists including Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, ELO, and tons more. The set which is available on DVD looks quite solid, but the footage varies from show to show, and performance to performance. Since the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Show is lensed by HBO there is some standard quality throughout however.  The DVD-audio came through my speakers quite clearly, and I had no issues hearing the presentations.  This set is quite easy to RECOMMEND.
