I feel this an underrated under appreciated masterpiece of film that features very Oscar worthy dramatic acting in the context of a wonderful historical setting.

A very memorable film crafted by cinematic masters with  excellent direction story and most of all through fine acting. This is another wonderful Blu-ray brought out by the one and only Twilight Time company bringing brilliant films to Limited edition 3000 unit Blu-rays. They bring unique classic films, modern films and create around the brilliance of the cinema piece. They isolate the stunning music and give you a moving experience not by just film but by a movement of an absolute moving cinematic experience.

Sidney Lumet is one of the greatest film directors and visionary talents to ever grace the cinema world for he was the very essence of cinematic mastery. He was a brilliant gifted powerful stunning unpredictable logical, fanciful, imaginative powerhouse of a director. This is one of his greats, almost every movie he ever graced left a lasting impression upon the viewer and cinema history. This is a film that truly stands the test of time.

What can be said about Sidney Lumet that already has not been said, pretty much nothing. Everybody that is a film buff accepts that Lumet is a brilliant director, a master at his craft. He is a talented wonderful, beautiful filmmaker that knows how to use the ideas of suspense and mystery, comedy, action, thriller, edge of your seat realities that he builds on through his direction. He can create a crime induced drama and everything in between.

This stars the one and only Richard Burton. He acted in some of the greatest cinema features of all time. He was a manly, man. He was a sophisticated master. He was a gifted talented individual that could hold each character he created through scenario's of emotionally charged moments. He was a one-of-a-kind actor and he owned this part as Martin.

Also staring the one-of-a-kind Peter Firth. He is one of my favorite actors of all time. He is a dashing and brilliant performer being able to create characters with his emotional reality. Started acting in the late 60's and has acted all the way up to the present. I will always remember him in many, many of his roles including this one.

Equus was adapted  from the story by Peter Shaffer. He was possibly one of the playwrights of his time. He took his already impressive play and crafted the screenplay for this dark mysterious film of impressive imagery and imagination.

The movie has solid acting, awesome moments of drama and mystery and a wonderful chemistry between the actors. Equus was a wonderful film that was a landmark of it's time. The music score is full of excitement. A great mysterious watch.

I think the movie flows perfectly together with the excellent visuals of Lumet and Shaffer’s imagination.

IN FROM THE COLD: THE WORLD OF RICHARD BURTON (1988)

Overall: (5/5)

I think this is a great mystery drama. A somewhat great psychological film. The acting is extraordinary, and the plot and the way it is directed works perfect. The characters stay with you and each one of them comes to life in their own way. The character of Martin is something to remember, is something to cause questions and answers. I think this should be a highly sought out Blu-ray and in all reality should be praised and should be talked about for this is truly a gifted little gem of a film. Twilight Time gives it a stunning and powerful entry into the Blu-ray realm.
