The Film (3/5)
Groper Train: Wedding Capriccio is a wacky tale of arranged marriages to rednecks, rich weapon tycoons, and embezzlement. It's also loaded down with foxy Japanese girls humping on weirdos!
It's a fun little mystery film, that follows Kuroda, the World's greatest detective, as he tries to unravel the mystery behind a rich old man's estranged children before he loses his fight with cancer. In the meantime, Kuroda's assistant let's a strange composer feel her up on a train as they agree to fake an engagement to save her from the country bumpkin she's currently betrothed to. Before you know it, key characters wind up dead and the clock is ticking for the old weapon baron and his millions.
Audio/Video (3/5)
The A/V quality on the disc is passable, but there's room for improvement. Being a pink film, there is a lot of room to overlook some things and not be too nit-picky about it. All in all, it's a little gritty and grainy here and there but it doesn't detract from the viewing experience.
Extras (3/5)
The DVD is loaded down with some pretty cool extras, notably the “Riding the Groper Train: The Rise & Fall of Groper Train” Featurette. Other filler materials include cast and crew bios, trailers, and a still image slideshow. They made good use of the space, and it's a little more substantial than just space fillers. If you're big into pinku films, there's plenty of fun tidbits to be gathered from the bonus materials.
Overall (3/5)
Groper Train: Wedding Capriccio is an easily digestible good time. It's funny, sexy, and does have a pretty fun mystery to follow along with. At just over an hour, it's a good way to spend an evening. The bumbling characters are really good for a laugh, the sex straddles the line between awkward and erotic, and the girls are foxy! What more could you ask for in an hour?
